Weimar (dpa / th) - In a model test, Weimar is testing the opening of shops and cultural institutions under Corona conditions for three days.

From today to Wednesday, retail stores will open in the city with one of the lowest infection rates, and the Bauhaus Museum will also open.

In addition to wearing protective masks, the prerequisite for customers and museum visitors is a daily negative corona rapid test or a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 48 hours.

Children under the age of 13 are exempt.

Nine rapid test centers open from 7:00 a.m.

A corona vaccination already received does not count as access authorization.

To track contacts, people have to register - either electronically using the Luca app or manually.

According to the Thuringian corona rules, such test runs are only permitted in municipalities that fall below the value of 100 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days for a week.

In Weimar, the seven-day incidence on Sunday was 86, according to the State Chancellery.
