Salzburg (AP) - Three men were killed in an accident near Salzburg on Friday evening.

They were sitting in a car that, for unknown reasons, came off the road near Anthering, north of Salzburg, and crashed into a tree.

Two of the occupants were thrown from the vehicle in the accident near the border with Bavaria, the third had to be rescued from the wreck.

An emergency doctor could only determine the deaths of the three men at the age of 25, 29 and 36 years.

At first it was unclear who had driven the car.

The police also reported that none of the three men were buckled up and none of them had a valid driver's license.
