Uhldingen-Mühlhofen (dpa / lsw) - The open-air museum pile dwellings on Lake Constance reopened its doors to visitors on Saturday.

"As an outdoor facility, we have an advantage over museums in closed rooms," said director Gunter Schöbel in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen (Lake Constance district).

Because 90 percent of the exhibition space is outdoors.

In the open-air facility on Lake Constance, 23 houses modeled on the Stone and Bronze Ages can be viewed, giving an insight into 3000 years of human history.

If you want to visit the museum at the moment, you have to buy an online ticket in advance due to the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic.

While the museum is only opening its doors to visitors in the fresh air, it could soon be closed again.

The Lake Constance district recently moved towards the value of 100 at the seven-day incidence and would have to pull the emergency brake after three days in a row with such high values.

The stilt houses would then have to close again for visitors, as a spokeswoman said.

The Lake Constance district recently pointed out the impending emergency brake.

At the moment, however, this would not be due until the new week at the earliest.
