Erfurt (dpa / th) - The airport in Erfurt is to serve as a base for planes that supply Germany with corona tests.
On Saturday, the plane of a Russian airline landed with around 480,000 test kits on board, the airport announced.
Three more cargo planes with these loads are expected by Easter.
A total of around two million tests are to be delivered via the Erfurt-Weimar regional airport.
Deliveries of corona protective equipment such as face masks had already been processed through him during the pandemic.
