Senftenberg (dpa / bb) - The district administrator of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district, Siegurd Heinze (independent), considers the planned stricter corona rules in Brandenburg to be necessary and is promoting nationwide steps.

"With the infection numbers, as they are now and are going up, action must be taken," said Heinze of the German press agency.

"I think that if there are uniform national rules that are also understood, they will be followed," said Heinze.

He warned against getting lost in a "flood of regulations".

With around 211, the district has the second highest 7-day incidence in Brandenburg.

The cabinet agreed on stricter restrictions on Friday.

In the Easter period - from April 1st to 6th - exit restrictions should apply regionally if the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants is over 100 for 3 days in a row in a week.

This is intended to supplement the emergency brake in districts and urban districts, with which the most recent easing falls on 3 days in a row at a value of over 100.

Shopping with an appointment is then taboo.

The districts should take further steps if the incidence is consistently well above 100.

The cabinet conferred with district administrators and mayors of the independent cities on Friday.

Heinze represented the district assembly.

The cabinet is expected to adopt the new rules on Tuesday.
