Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Around a year after the sudden death of the former Hessian Finance Minister Thomas Schäfer, State Parliament President Boris Rhein (CDU) remembered the CDU politician.
"We miss him very much," he said on Saturday in Wiesbaden.
"What remains is the memory of an exceptional personality, a very special person."
Schäfer had committed suicide on March 28, 2020 at the age of 54.
"On the anniversary of his death, my thoughts are with his wife, children and relatives," said Rhein.
He had known Schäfer for decades and valued them very much.
