Berlin (dpa / bb) - At a nightly open-air meeting in Berlin-Friedrichshain, a police car was thrown with a glass bottle.

The rear of the car was hit and damaged, the police said on Saturday.

Accordingly, around 200 passers-by and residents gathered on Annemirl-Bauer-Platz near Ostkreuz on Friday evening, saying that music was heard and spoken loudly.

When the police asked the crowd by loudspeaker around 11:15 p.m. to adhere to the corona distance rules and to leave the square, the bottle was thrown.

According to information, one man initially fled, and the police followed him.

At an intersection, the officers caught up with the suspected bottle thrower and arrested him.

He defended himself against his arrest and insulted emergency services, it said.

The 27-year-old later stated that his head was injured during the arrest.
