A 78-year-old woman from Madrid has been denounced by the local Alicante police when she discovered that she had

bypassed the perimeter closure

decreed in the Valencian Community to go to her second residence in Playa de San Juan.

According to the Alicante city council, this woman was located and identified yesterday around 5.30 pm after a

notice received from a neighbor

, and now she faces a sanction that can carry a fine of up to 600 euros.

The defendant had moved on the occasion of Holy Week to her second home located on Avenida de Santander de la Playa de San Juan.

, recalled the importance of "strictly complying with the rules this Easter to stop a possible fourth wave of the pandemic."

In a statement, he added that there will be "

maximum police control
