"The growing attention of NATO and its member countries to the Arctic region was indicated earlier, in connection with which appropriate measures of a proactive defensive nature were taken, including with the aim of ensuring the safety of navigation in the water area of ​​the NSR (Northern Sea Route)," his TASS.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the continuation of comprehensive Arctic expeditions, the study and development of the Far North to ensure Russia's military security.
