Bonn / Würzburg (dpa) - After the ban on blessings for homosexuals pronounced by the Vatican, representatives of the Catholic Church want to hand over a list of signatures to high clergy today in the Central Committee of German Catholics in Bonn.

Almost 2,600 people from all pastoral professions and from all dioceses in Germany have joined the campaign, as the Würzburg university pastor Burkhard Hose announced.

Among them are priests, religious, theologians, pastors, parish and pastoral officers.

With your signature you agree to continue blessing same-sex loving couples.

The list is handed over to Bishop Helmut Dies and Birgit Mock.

The two representatives of the Synodal Forum want to make a statement on Saturday.
