Hanover (dpa / lni) - Lower Saxony's Minister of Health Daniela Behrens has advised against private Easter meetings even with vaccinated people in the Corona crisis.

A vaccination offers important protection, said the SPD politician of the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung" (Friday).

But: “Nevertheless, due to the many open questions about the lively dynamic development of the mutant, I still have to ask people for patience.

Digital meetings are also a nice way to bridge the time until the big family reunion is possible. "

Tests are always only a snapshot, and people could be infectious even with a negative test.

At the same time, the minister encouraged the vaccination campaign in the state: In Lower Saxony, more than 30,000 vaccine doses are now injected on weekdays.

"If things continue like this and we actually get the vaccine delivery quantities promised by the federal government, we would have to have vaccinated more than half of the adults in Lower Saxony at least once in mid-June," said the SPD politician.
