At least

seven people have been injured

after

a vehicle hit two terraces

of two bars in the municipality of

Yunquera de Henares (Guadalajara),

whose driver has stated that he has done so voluntarily in desperation for having lost custody of his children.

According to sources from the 112 Emergencies to Efe, they received the notice at 2:46 p.m. this Friday when a

vehicle

has run over the tables and chairs of two terraces of two bars, invading the sidewalk on Calle Real, in the center of the municipality.

In one of the terraces, on

Calle Real,

a person has been slightly injured, while in another, located on

Calle San Cleto,

the man has run over at least three, two of whom have suffered a fracture in the leg and other minor injuries, according to sources close to the investigation told Efe.

Meanwhile, on

Calle El Santo,

another person has been run over and has suffered minor injuries.

Two emergency ambulances, an ICU, the emergency doctor and the Civil Guard have come to the place.

Sources from the

Guadalajara Civil Guard

have confirmed to Efe that the driver of the vehicle has been detained.

This is

Mohammadi HB,

residing in the neighboring town of

Humanes de Mohernando

and for whom there is no record.

The alleged perpetrator, who has tested negative for alcohol and drugs, has told the agents that

his action has been voluntary and the result of desperation

due to the loss of custody of his children.
