At a cabinet meeting on the 26th, the government decided on a bill that includes usage restrictions, such as requiring prior notification when buying or selling land and buildings around facilities that are important for security.

In the bill decided by the Cabinet, the area of about 1 km around important infrastructure facilities such as the base of the Self-Defense Forces and nuclear power plants, and remote islands near the border are designated as "watch areas", and the national government is the owner of the land. It is said that it is possible to investigate names and nationalities.

Of these, areas of particular importance, such as the area around the SDF base where the headquarters functions and uninhabited islands near the border, are designated as "special gaze areas", and when buying or selling land over a certain area, the name is used. It is obligatory to notify the government and nationality in advance.

In addition, if it is confirmed that the area is disturbed by radio waves, the government can order the suspension of use of land and buildings.

On the other hand, the designation of "gaze area" must be minimized while giving due consideration to the protection of personal information.

At a press conference after the Cabinet Secretary, Chief Cabinet Secretary Kato said, "From the perspective of security, it is an important bill to prevent acts that impede the functions of defense-related facilities, etc. I want to do my best as a company. "

The government has a policy of aiming for the establishment in the current Diet.
