“Today, the headquarters of the JFO reported four dead and two wounded Ukrainian militants, who allegedly died as a result of a mortar attack from our side at positions in the area of the settlement of Shumy.
We officially declare that our units did not carry out any fire missions in this area, ”the Donetsk news agency is quoted as saying.
The People's Militia said that the positions of the Ukrainian military are located near the village of Shumy, from which areas in the west of Horlivka were shelled on March 26.
It is specified that the servicemen of the People's Militia "did not succumb to the provocation" and did not return fire.
