Stuttgart / Tübingen (dpa / lsw) - The Tübingen model test with corona rapid tests can continue.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has approved the extension requested by the city until April 18, as it announced on Friday.

So far, there are no signs that the controlled openings have led to an increase in infections in the city, it said to justify.

The positive rate of the rapid tests is very constant at 1: 1000, the system of regular tests set up by the city in companies, schools, daycare centers and the powerful network of test stations work.

The so-called incidence has been below 35 for several weeks.

Since March 16, people in Tübingen have been able to have themselves tested free of charge at several stations, with the certificate of the result they can then go to shops, the hairdresser or even in theaters and museums.

The city sees the success of the attempt endangered by a growing number of day visitors.

Over Easter, day tickets should therefore only be issued to people who live or work in the Tübingen district, as the city announced.

From this Saturday on, the issuing of tickets to non-residents will also be restricted.
