This is stated in the message posted on the website of the competition.

“It was decided that the new application also did not meet the rules of the competition, which ensure that it is not used as a political tool,” the organizers said.

It is noted that in this way the representative of Belarus will not be able to participate in the competition from May 12 to May 16 in Rotterdam, since the republic was unable to provide the song in due time.

Earlier, the organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest announced that they could not admit the Belarusian song to the competition, calling it politicized.

After that, Ivan Eismont, chairman of the Belarusian state media holding Belteleradiocompany, a member of the European Broadcasting Union and organizer of the national selection project for the Eurovision song contest, said that a new song had been selected for the competition.
