This Friday March 26, in Sydney, begins the first performance of the opera "La Traviata", the first of a series of exceptional open-air performances, which will be performed in front of more than 2,000 people.

In Australia, where there has not been the slightest case of Covid-19 for more than fifty days, cultural life has completely resumed its rights.

With our correspondent in Australia,

After days of torrential rain in Sydney, the sun is finally back.

Just in time for that first night at the opera, in the open air.

The stage is set on the water, in Sydney Bay.

An exceptional setting according to Ian: “

Sydney Harbor is a magical place.

Everyone coming here says

“wow”.

So seeing an opera here is fantastic.

"

Rare pleasure

This evening, wearing a mask is recommended, but not compulsory, as more than 2,000 spectators are expected.

Like Noah, everyone here is aware that they are indulging in a pleasure that has become rare during a pandemic: “

I think we were very careful from the start and we had restrictions that were difficult. to live for many people.

But I think they helped us deconfining culture, it's a huge chance.

"

Fireworks

La Traviata

sur l'eau in Sydney is every evening, except Monday, until the end of April 2021. A show that brings together more than 70 artists on stage.

And as if that weren't enough, fireworks are also fired every evening.
