Berlin (dpa / bb) - Drivers in Berlin and Brandenburg can look forward to expected free roads over Easter.

Because of the corona lockdown and the applicable travel restrictions, no serious Easter travel traffic is expected, a spokeswoman for the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg told the German press agency when asked.

There are construction sites on the 100, 113 and 117 motorways in Berlin and on the 10, 12, 15 and 24 motorways in Brandenburg - but according to the information they should not disturb the traffic more.

Only on the A114, between the Schönerlinder Straße junction and the Pankow motorway triangle in Berlin, could things slow down - a bridge is currently being built here.

According to an ADAC spokesman, Easter is usually one of the busiest times of the year.

However, the corona pandemic had already made itself felt last year: On Maundy Thursday 2020, the ADAC counted a total of 600 traffic jams in Germany.

In 2019 there were 3400 traffic jams.
