Friedrichshafen (dpa / lsw) - A truck driver choked on a hot drink while driving through Friedrichshafen (Bodenseekreis) and lost control of his vehicle.

The 61-year-old man initially left his lane on Thursday and collided with a parked car, the police said.

Then he rushed with the truck into the front yard of a house and only came to a stop there.

The driver was not injured, but had to be freed from the truck because the driver's cab was wedged between a wall and a tree.

According to the police, the truck suffered five-digit damage and the parked car was around 10,000 euros.

With a view of the bypassed wall in the front garden and the leaked fuel, according to the officials, damage amounting to around 20,000 euros has occurred.

Because the recovery of the truck was demanding, there were traffic disruptions.
