Mainz (dpa / lrs) - According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, there is keen interest in the new “DigiBoost” funding program launched at the beginning of March, which supports small and medium-sized companies in Rhineland-Palatinate in digitizing their work processes.

As of March 3, 748 interested parties had taken part in information offered by the chambers, the ministry said in response to a request from the AfD parliamentary group.

The competent approval body, the Investment and Structural Bank Rhineland-Palatinate (ISB), had received 210 complete applications.

The funding program was developed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs together with the Chamber of Crafts, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Agriculture.

It grants grants of up to 15,000 euros per company, both for hardware and software.

The aim is to support the development of professional, individually programmed online shops, infrastructures for mobile work or digital warehouse and logistics management, the digitization of workshops and 3D printing.

The offer is aimed at small and medium-sized companies with up to 100 employees, but also at self-employed and freelancers.
