Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - A man has been sentenced to five and a half years imprisonment by the Frankfurt Regional Court for a series of five robberies in quick succession on passers-by and rail passengers.
The judges assumed simple and serious robbery on Thursday and also ordered the drug-addicted 51-year-old to be placed in a therapy facility.
The defendant had chosen his victims in the summer of last year, mainly on escalators and in elevators around Frankfurt Central Station.
He captured a small computer on a passenger train.
A passer-by suffered a knee injury in a push and lost 35 euros in cash.
He was arrested after attacking a tourist whom the man threatened with a box cutter.
The woman had to hand him 85 euros in cash beforehand.
He made a confession in court.
Only one further, sixth case remained without criminal consequences.
At an elevator in a green area, he released a pensioner after another woman had approached.
He agreed to the placement in the rehab facility.
The judgment then became final.
