Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The Brandenburg state government wants to decide on possible stricter corona restrictions over Easter on Friday.

The cabinet will then meet, government spokesman Florian Engels announced on Thursday upon request.

Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD) said in the state parliament on Wednesday that the withdrawal of the latest easing "will not be enough for the coming weeks".

Although the plan for the extended Easter rest days was withdrawn, Woidke called the idea right to limit mobility and contacts as much as possible.

Model projects in the municipalities should allow scope for tests.

Shopping in retail in Potsdam should continue to be allowed from Saturday - but only with a negative Corona test.
