Kassel (dpa / lhe) - The construction work for a planned logistics park in Wölfersheim (Wetteraukreis) may not be continued for the time being.

The Hessian Administrative Court in Kassel rejected a complaint against a decision by the Administrative Court in Gießen, as the court announced on Thursday.

In July 2020, the Giessen Administrative Court granted an urgent application from the nature conservation organization BUND, which stopped the construction project.

The nature conservation organization had criticized the fact that the environmental compatibility had not been adequately examined in the development plan and had submitted a norm review application to the Hessian Administrative Court.

A complaint against the decision had been lodged with the Administrative Court in Kassel.

The project was rightly stopped because the building permit was clearly unlawful, the court justified its decision.

Neither a partial building permit nor a tiered or independent building permit should have been granted.

The decision of the Hessian Administrative Court (Az: 3 B 2000/20) is final.

According to a spokesman, the construction freeze applies until the verdict in the main proceedings.
