Berlin (dpa / bb) - Various groups have announced protests against the evacuation of the left-wing neighborhood bar “Meuterei” in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

From 6 a.m. onwards, demonstrations have been registered at several locations in Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain.

In addition, “decentralized resistance actions” of the left-wing scene throughout the city were announced on the Internet.

The pub on Reichenberger Strasse, whose lease has expired, is to be vacated at 8:00 a.m.

Since Wednesday afternoon, the police have set up a restricted area around the pub and put up barriers to prevent blockade actions.

Demonstrations against the exclusion zone were called on Wednesday evening.

On Tuesday evening, more than a thousand mostly young people demonstrated against the eviction.

The mood was aggressive, participants shot rockets and lit Bengali fire, firecrackers exploded.

The police provisionally arrested seven participants.

There were reports of acts of resistance, attempted release from prisoners, insults and attempted dangerous bodily harm.
