According to Sky News, the law, in particular, empowers the police to monitor citizens' compliance with quarantine measures and establishes fines for violators.

Parliament also supported the government's proposals to gradually ease restrictions.

It is noted that the extension of the law until September does not mean the extension of measures to combat COVID-19 for the same period.

At the moment, the government expects to remove all major restrictions by the end of June.

Earlier it was reported that everyone coming to the UK will have to pass the coronavirus test twice.
