“President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a decree that put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated March 11, 2021“ On the Strategy for the de-occupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, ”the statement on the website of the President of Ukraine says.

It is noted that this document defines a set of measures of a diplomatic, military, economic, informational, humanitarian and other nature, which are aimed at restoring the "territorial integrity" of Ukraine.

The strategy also defines the country's priorities for the protection of human rights and freedoms in Crimea.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, in turn, called all Kiev's efforts to return Crimea illegitimate and warned against unfriendly steps.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that the Crimea issue is closed for Russia.

According to him, the referendum on the peninsula was held in strict accordance with international law.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
