Munich (dpa / lby) - With sometimes sharp words, the opposition criticized Prime Minister Markus Söder's (CSU) corona crisis management and also sharply attacked the CSU as a whole.

There was criticism on Wednesday in the state parliament about the back and forth about the Easter rest - but especially also about the mask affair, at the center of which is now also a former CSU member of the state parliament, Alfred Sauter.

Söder gambled away trust in many ways, said Greens parliamentary group leader Ludwig Hartmann.

There is a lack of a viable strategy due to the corona pandemic.

With a view to the withdrawal of the Easter rest, which the federal and state governments had only announced on Tuesday morning, Hartmann spoke of uncertainty and chaos.

And the mask affair puts many old CSU amigo stories in the shade.

SPD parliamentary group leader Horst Arnold criticized Söder's sensitivity to being increasingly lost.

Sometimes there is talk of chaos outside in the country.

"You are at a high altitude of self- and auto-suggestion," said Arnold to Söder.

FDP parliamentary group leader Martin Hagen emphasized that the back and forth about the Easter rest is not an implementation problem, but "a declaration of bankruptcy of politics".

This “chaos” is costing trust among the population.

And if Söder had spoken of a clear line between the federal and state governments on Tuesday night, then that shows above all that Söder had strayed "insanely far" from reality.

Hagen also attacked the CSU because of the mask affair and criticized that MPs had enriched themselves in the pandemic.

AfD parliamentary group leader Ingo Hahn criticized that the state government could not get the crisis under control, Söder simply extended the lockdown into spring.

The crisis management is a "farce".
