Luxembourg (dpa / lrs) - In Luxembourg, outdoor dining is allowed to reopen from April 7th.

The plan is to open the terraces from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. subject to strict conditions, announced the Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel on Wednesday.

A maximum of two people from different households are allowed to sit at one table, masking requirements and a minimum distance between the tables apply.

Given the infection situation, there is currently not much room for openings, said Bettel after the meeting of the government council.

The opening of outdoor catering is a small step that should only be implemented if the situation does not change fundamentally.

If there is an exponential increase in the number of cases, the opening will be collected again, he said.

The seven-day incidence in Luxembourg is currently 250, the R-value 1.13.

However, there is currently no exponential growth, the situation in the hospitals is stable.

There is a lot of testing going on in Luxembourg.

The other corona rules should be extended until April 25, said Bettel.

The gastronomy in Luxembourg has so far been closed, the night-time exit restriction from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. continues to apply.

The following applies to contacts: A maximum of two people from another household are allowed to visit.

The retail trade has been open since mid-January under strict conditions.

Cultural institutions and sports facilities are also open with restrictions.
