Munich (dpa / lby) - IG Metall in Bavaria calls for further warning strikes in the collective bargaining round of the metal and electrical industry on Thursday.

The union announced on Wednesday that the focus is on Swabia and Upper Franconia.

District manager Johann Horn asked for a quick offer from the employer.

"We want a solution before Easter, but that can only be a good solution for the employees."

According to the union, more than 32,000 metal workers in Bavaria took part in warning strikes on Friday.

In many companies, late and night shifts were completely canceled.

IG Metall demands four percent more wages or a corresponding reduction in working hours for companies in crisis.

The employers are offering a zero round this year and wage increases that have not yet been quantified in 2022. In addition, they want to be able to automatically move away from the collective agreement in the event of poor business figures.
