"

 Let's stop being naive,

" insists the president of the center-right group in the European Parliament.

The

European Commission

announced on Wednesday its intention to strengthen its mechanism for controlling exports of vaccines produced on its soil and that is a good thing, according to Manfred Weber.

We sent 9 million doses of vaccine to the United Kingdom and they delivered us zero,"

says Manfred Weber.

We have sent more vaccines in the last three months to the UK than we have given to Spain.

The priority for the next few months must be the Europeans.

We can no longer endanger the life and health of our fellow citizens.

 "

All MEPs said they were shocked by the discovery of a stock of some 30 million AstraZeneca vaccines in a factory in Italy, while the laboratory delivered in the first quarter only a third of the doses promised to Europeans.

"

It is the last straw that broke the camel's back,"

comments Iratxe Garcia Perez, president of the Socialist Group.

 They make fun of us.

This is no longer the time to sit down and talk, discuss the solution to be found, no, it is the time to be firm.

"

Toughen up the tone and take legal action against the Swedish-British pharmaceutical group to avoid "a second black spring," insisted several parliamentarians.
