Global health: Covid-19 cases in Brazil are dangerously high

The Director of the World Health Organization in the Region of the Americas, Carissa Etienne, warned today, Tuesday, that the spread of the Corona virus in Brazil is "dangerously", and urged all Brazilians to adhere to preventive measures to stop its spread.

She said that the number of cases increased in the states of Bolivar and Amazonas of Venezuela, and in the border regions of Peru and Bolivia.

She added that "(rates) the Covid-19 virus is not declining, and the pandemic has not yet begun to recede."

According to the World Health Organization in the Region of the Americas, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay are experiencing high rates of HIV infection.
