Cologne (dpa / lnw) - During an operation as a result of an apartment fire in Cologne, the fire brigade rescued a woman on fire from a canopy on Wednesday.
According to a spokesman, a fire broke out in the woman's apartment on the second floor of an apartment building for reasons that are still unknown.
When the fire department arrived, the woman was on the flat roof with her clothes on.
The firefighters put out the flames, the woman was taken to a special clinic with severe burn injuries.
Another woman who had run to a higher floor while fleeing the fire was recovered unharmed via a turntable ladder.
