China News Service, March 23. According to Kyodo News, the Japanese government decided at a cabinet meeting on the 23rd to spend an additional 2,1699.2 billion yen (approximately RMB 129.8 billion) from the preparations for the new crown countermeasures.

The funds will be used to provide a 50,000 yen subsidy to each child of a child-rearing family in difficulty, as well as payment of cooperative funds for restaurants that respond to requests for shortened business hours.

On the other hand, the Japanese government held a cabinet meeting related to emergency support measures for the new crown at the prime minister's residence on the 23rd, and finalized measures to strengthen corporate capital turnover.

The government-based financial institutions previously used syndicated loans with the private sector as the principle, and will allow them to lend independently in the future.

In addition, the review time will be shortened, and support will be strengthened for the catering and accommodation industries affected by the new crown epidemic.

The data picture shows Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.

Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga emphasized at the meeting: "We will guard employment and be close to everyone who continues to do business, and the government will act as a whole to respond meticulously."

The subsidy for poor parenting families was previously only granted to single-parent families, but this time it will be extended to families with both parents.

An additional 217.5 billion yen was spent from the reserve cost.

In order to utilise the cooperative funds, an additional 1,540.3 billion yen will be added to the "Temporary Grant for Local Creation".

341 billion yen will be used to expand special loans such as "emergency small funds" that can provide up to 200,000 yen to people in need of living expenses.

4.6 billion yen will be used to counteract loneliness and isolation.

As the preparation cost for the new crown countermeasures, the Japanese government has included 1.5 trillion yen and 10 trillion yen in the first and second supplementary budgets for 2020, respectively.

After this additional expenditure, the balance is 507.9 billion yen.
