As a response to mutant viruses, the government has decided to raise the number of tests conducted by extracting samples from 5% to 10% of newly infected persons to about 40% at an early stage.



Under these circumstances, the Minister for Economic Revitalization Nishimura met with members of the Liberal Democratic Party who are qualified as doctors and was recommended to test all newly infected persons for the mutant virus.



In response, Minister Nishimura said, "Experts are saying that it will be time to replace all mutant viruses. They are also conducting research on how fast they spread in Japan and whether they are highly infectious. I want to monitor with the utmost caution, "he said, and expressed his intention to raise the inspection ratio at an early stage and strengthen the monitoring system.
