In the middle of last week, the Uppsala Region noticed an increase in the spread of infection among children.

Infection among children has decreased since Christmas but got a boost again.

Now a class at Valsätraskolan in Uppsala has been forced to quarantine.

- This means that they will not come here, but they will receive home tuition, says the school's principal, Tomas Rylander.

This is the eighth class in the county to be quarantined.

According to Ove Andersson, who is a medical adviser at the infection control unit in Uppsala, quarantine is a major measure that is not carried out in the first place.

- We have done this when we see a strong and acute spread of infection in schools, he says.
