Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Hesse's economy has described the latest resolutions of the Corona summit as "painful".

The emergency brake is not necessary because parts of the economy were opened too quickly.

“It is necessary because the state is too slow: When vaccinating, organizing tests, tracing contacts, with the vaccination pass,” criticized Eberhard Flammer, President of the Hessian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HIHK) on Tuesday.

"Staggering from one lockdown to the next produces frustration and a lack of prospects."

That goes to the existence of many companies.

The food trade, which is visited by tens of thousands of people in Hesse every day, has been proving for months that the trade is not a source of infection.

In addition, opening the outdoor catering would mean more security, "because after months of deprivation people do not meet in private due to a lack of alternatives," argued Flammer.

Hesse's economy is taking responsibility in the pandemic, which can also be seen in testing, said Flammer, according to the announcement.

Almost every second company offers corona tests on a regular basis or will start doing so shortly.

"That was organized in a very short time and despite incomplete information," said Flammer.

Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the prime ministers of the federal states decided on Tuesday night that the lockdown, which has been going on for months, should be extended to April 18.

The resolutions also provide for public, private and economic life to be largely shut down over Easter from April 1st to 5th inclusive.

The corona cabinet of the black-green state government wanted to advise on the corona resolutions of the federal-state switchboard on Tuesday.
