Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Saxony-Anhalt's Greens are focusing on climate protection in their election campaign for the state elections on June 6th.

"Climate protection is the order of the day," said the green top candidate Cornelia Lüddemann on Tuesday in Magdeburg.

There the party presented its poster motifs for the election campaign.

In front of a motif with forest and water is written in large letters “Save the climate: With a clear goal”, supplemented by the words “Second vote green” and “Reliable for Saxony-Anhalt”.

Green issues such as cosmopolitanism, strengthening local transport, climate protection and nature conservation are addressed on smaller posters.

"We Greens stand for reliable governance, for a reliable future, we are the anchor of stability in this state government," said Lüddemann.

The campaign is aimed at getting the two great challenges of the corona pandemic and climate crisis under control through reliable announcements and clear messages, through solutions that are offered to people.

In Saxony-Anhalt, a new state parliament is to be elected on June 6th.

The Greens are currently governing in a coalition with the CDU and SPD.
