March 23, 2021 "When he was a child, Dad played the part of San Tarcisio who died stoned. A child really threw the stone, he fainted and people said he was a good actor but he was really passed out!".

So Emi De Sica (first daughter of Vittorio and his first wife, the actress Giuditta Rissone), who left us at the age of 83, told an anecdote of his father during a conference.

Emi De Sica - with his brothers Christian and Manuel (who died in 2014) - had dedicated herself to all the projects in memory of her father, such as the De Sica awards, the restoration of great films and exhibitions.

To give the news of his death, Christian De Sica, who posted on Facebook a black and white photo of Emi and Vittorio, smiling: "Hi Emi, I'll miss you. Give dad a kiss", wrote the actor.

Emi De Sica was very moved when he told of his father's meeting with Charlie Chaplin: "My father loved him. They met in America and got along very well. He showed him Umberto D and when he saw that at the end of his projection did not move came up to him and saw he was crying.

Speaking of his family - in an interview with Rainews24 - he revealed with a smile that they were a bit liars: "But they were positive lies, for their own sake".

Christian De Sica - in several interviews - told how he learned of his sister's existence: "Dad was divided between us and his first wife Giuditta Rissone and his daughter Emy with whom we met for the first time on the phone. He calls us, saying: "Hello, I'm your sister." When dad heard about the phone call, he asked us worriedly: "What did he tell you?". I answer him: 'That's our sister! And you daddy could have told us before, no? '. Then she managed to get a divorce and finally my parents got married in a town near Paris: they were already there in age, yet my mother did not give up on her very beautiful white dress ".
