Berlin (dpa) - The CSU in the Bundestag is demanding clear opening commitments for the time after the Easter lockdown that has just been decided.

"Anyone who says lockdown must also say what the easing will look like afterwards," said CSU state group leader Alexander Dobrindt on Tuesday in Berlin.

What is needed are “clear commitments to relax after Easter”.

There is “a need for improvement”, emphasized Dobrindt with a view to the nightly resolutions of the federal and state governments on how to proceed in the corona pandemic.

"The paper doesn't go far enough for that."

His expectation is that it will be discussed in the next few days.

This could happen in the Corona cabinet, for example.

The federal states could also formulate ideas on this.

"My expectation is that the Free State of Bavaria - if there is no agreement with the federal states and the federal government about this perspective - will then make appropriate decisions."

What is needed is a clear formulation as to when after Easter the step-by-step plan for easing measures decided at the beginning of March will be included or how this plan can be changed.

Dobrindt emphasized that this was also crucial in order to ensure acceptance among the population for the measures against the pandemic.

“The principle must remain: distance and acceptance are twins that belong together in the fight against the pandemic.

We have all learned the distance, acceptance must be maintained. "

The CSU politician warned in this context: "A lack of acceptance can also lead to uncontrolled infection."
