March 22, 2021 "Within the next 24 hours - said General Figliuolo - about one million doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be distributed to the regions, affecting 214 health facilities".

The announcement was made during the meeting held during the day by the Prime Minister, Mario Draghi with the head of Civil Protection, Fabrizio Curcio, and with the extraordinary commissioner for the emergency Francesco Figliuolo.

At the center of the meeting the themes of procurement and management of the vaccination campaign in the regions. 

In the afternoon, Draghi also had a meeting with the Minister for Regional Affairs, Mariastella Gelmini, with whom a preliminary point was made on the solutions that will contribute to strengthening collaboration and coordination with the regions committed to promptly implementing the new vaccination plan.
