According to reports, the man was Nick Slaterton, who bought lottery tickets and drinks at a grocery store on March 10.

The next morning, after checking the lottery results, Slaterton was pleasantly surprised to find that the lottery he bought had won over $1 million.

"I was stunned. I couldn't believe it," Slaterton said. "I can't express (this mood)." After that, he rushed to his fiancée Michelle's company and told her about the lottery winning. After sharing the good news, he did a series of things, including taking his brother to the auto parts store for shopping.

However, after about an hour, Slaterton realized that he had lost the lottery ticket and "cannot find it everywhere."

Previously, the Tennessee Lottery Department had encouraged lottery purchasers to sign when buying lottery tickets, "In case the lottery ticket is lost or stolen, others will exchange it for cash."

Later, Slaterton had to go back the same way, and finally found the lottery ticket on the parking lot of an auto parts store-it fell near the side door of the driver's seat of another car.

"This is a million-dollar lottery ticket, and someone stepped on it," Slaterton said.

Officials from the Tennessee Lottery Department later confirmed that Slaterton was one of the winners of five lottery tickets worth more than $1 million sold in Tennessee in March.

Slaterton said that he and his fiancee will continue to work, but they plan to buy a new house, a car, and invest.

He said that he hopes to live a life with "not too many worries".
