Saudi Arabia: The Corona vaccine does not allow Umrah for those over the age of 70

Today, Monday, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that obtaining a vaccine against the emerging coronavirus for a person over the age of 70 does not allow him to perform Umrah.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah resolved questions about the requirement to receive vaccination with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) in order to be able to issue a permit to perform Umrah or not, whether for those under the age of 70, or over the age of 70.

With regard to the authorized ages for performing Umrah from inside the Kingdom and issuing the permit through the application of “Umrah,” the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed that it is between 18-70 years, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, indicating that the permit cannot be issued to those under the age of 18 and to those over the age of 70. In addition, children cannot be added as companions, while the mother is allowed to be added as a companion for the beneficiary, according to the newspaper "Okaz Online".
