Maas and the head of the European Commission discussed EU relations with Russia

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany on Twitter.

“At the end of today's EU Foreign Policy Council, a good exchange of views between Heiko Maas and (Ursula) von der Leyen on EU relations with the Western Balkans, Eastern Mediterranean, Russia and China,” the statement reads.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin held consultations in the format of a video conference with the State Secretary of the German Foreign Ministry Antje Leendertse.
