March 22, 2021 Telephone conversation between Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

At the center of the conversation the European Council on Thursday and Friday.

Draghi is weaving a dense network with the various countries of the Union with the aim of creating an axis that urges the Commission to demand compliance with contracts (starting with the stop to exports to non-European countries) and to the production of serums. .

And on the latter issue, Ursula Von Der Leyen launched the Hera incubator plan, now called to take off.

The Prime Minister, therefore, is preparing to prepare for the difficult confrontation with the European leaders and the other member countries on vaccines.

Despite the assurances given by the Commissioner responsible Thierry Breton on herd immunity by the summer in Europe, the lack of doses is the real problem.

And, for this reason, the words with which Breton barred the door to Sputnik were not thrilled.

And the leader of FDI, Giorgia Meloni, intervened on the Russian vaccine in Italy, who pressed: "If Sputnik V is a safe and effective vaccine, there is no commercial war that holds: it must be evaluated and marketed immediately".

So Draghi's strategy seems to be the one summarized last Friday in the press conference: "if EU coordination works, fine, otherwise you go on your own".

A line also shared by Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel, struggling with vaccination campaigns and prolonged lockdowns;

in Germany the extension to 18 April passed.
