Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - Because of the work on the four-track expansion on the Nuremberg-Berlin railway line, train traffic between Nuremberg and Ebensfeld will be severely impaired at the end of March.

On the coming weekend, from Friday, March 26th until the night of Monday, March 29th, the section of the route will have to be completely closed, the Deutsche Bahn announced on Monday.

Among other things, new tracks would have to be put into operation at Hallstadt train station near Bamberg.

As a precautionary measure, bombs from the Second World War are also to be searched for in Bamberg train station.

The trains are being diverted.

Some stops are canceled, ICE trains between Munich and Berlin take up to 90 minutes longer than usual.

Regional trains and S-Bahn trains are being replaced by buses.
