Recklinghausen (dpa / lnw) - After the violent death of a 56-year-old in Recklinghausen, DNA traces, according to the police, corroborated suspicions against his roommate.
The 56-year-old was found stabbed to death in his apartment on March 5.
His 28-year-old roommate came into the focus of the investigators shortly afterwards and was arrested together with a 55-year-old.
The two suspects were initially released, the police said on Monday.
Further forensic evaluations of DNA traces have now given clear indications of the 28-year-old as a suspect, the police said.
The man is in custody.
The motive for the homicide is still unclear.
