Munich (dpa / lby) - TSV 1860 Munich has stopped the successful move of front runner Dynamo Dresden in the 3rd soccer league.

The “Löwen” won the intense and exciting top duel 1-0 (0-0) on Monday.

Phillipp Steinhart was the late winning goal scorer for Munich (86th minute).

Dynamo lost again for the first time after eight unbeaten games.

The table leads Dresden (58 points) ahead of Rostock (57) and Ingolstadt (57).

After winning in fourth place with 48 points, 1860 still has few chances.

"We are still a long way from plugging in," said goal scorer Steinhart at "MagentaSport".

«It was a game at eye level, on a knife edge.

I'm glad we were able to put the lucky punch. "

In the contested game, Sascha Mölders wasn't missing much to bring the "Löwen" into the lead early on.

But his shot directed Dynamo keeper Kevin Broll with a strong reflex to the crossbar (13th).

1860 goalkeeper Marco Hiller could also excel - for example when he parried a header from Tim Knipping (74th).

Ransford Königsdörffer missed a goal for the Saxons with a huge chance (84th).

A little later Steinhart struck.

"In the end it was a bit wild," said guest coach Markus Kauczinski.
