The new version of the "Catalog" uniformly adopts major categories, majors, and majors. Three-level classification, integrated design of different levels of secondary vocational education, higher vocational education, and higher vocational education. There are 19 majors, 97 majors, and 1349 majors, including 358 secondary vocational majors and higher vocational education. There are 744 junior college majors and 247 higher vocational undergraduate majors.

  The "Catalog" will come into effect on the date of its release.

From 2021, the professional setting and management of vocational colleges to enroll students will be implemented in accordance with the "Catalog" and the corresponding professional setting management methods.

The Ministry of Education requires all provincial education administrative departments to rationally set up majors in accordance with the "Catalogue" and the methods, combined with the needs of regional economic and social high-quality development, and do a good job in setting up and managing nationally controlled majors.

Secondary vocational schools may set up specialties outside the "catalog" in accordance with regulations.

Higher vocational schools can independently set up and adjust higher vocational majors in accordance with relevant regulations and can independently demonstrate the setting of majors.

The Ministry of Education guides qualified vocational colleges to actively and steadily set up higher vocational undergraduate majors in accordance with the requirements of high starting points and high standards to avoid "rushing to the top".

  The Ministry of Education will successively release corresponding professional profiles according to the "Catalogue" and organize the development of corresponding professional teaching standards; require all localities to guide vocational colleges to compare the "Catalogue" and professional profiles, etc., comprehensively revise (form) formulate and publish and implement corresponding professional talent training programs ; Require all vocational colleges to adjust and optimize the allocation of teachers in time according to the "Catalog", develop or update professional course textbooks, and use the implementation of the "Catalog" as an opportunity to deepen the reform of teacher teaching materials and teaching methods.

  The Ministry of Education requires that the new and old catalogs be well connected. At present, the current school students are trained according to the professional name of the original catalog to graduation. The school should make necessary adjustments and updates to the talent training program according to the changes in professional connotation.

Relevant majors (groups) that have been selected into the "Double High Plan" and other construction projects of the Ministry of Education should be adjusted and upgraded in accordance with the "Catalog" and project construction requirements.

When selecting graduates of relevant majors, employers should make a good connection between the new and old catalogs.

According to the needs of economic and social development, the Ministry of Education will dynamically update the "Catalogue" and improve the management methods for professional settings.

  At present, vocational schools across the country have opened more than 1,300 majors, covering various fields of the national economy, with more than 100,000 majors, and cultivating about 10 million high-quality technical and technical talents every year. In fields such as modern manufacturing, strategic emerging industries and modern service industries, more than 70% of the new front-line employees are graduates from vocational colleges, and the social recognition of vocational education has increased significantly.
