Hanover / Palma (dpa) - From Hanover, the largest travel group Tui will be flying the first vacationers to Mallorca again from this Sunday after a long forced break.

The expiry of the travel warning for the Balearic Islands makes this possible - among other things, tourists can now forego a quarantine phase after their return.

The company recently announced that demand was very strong.

The restart of business on Mallorca does not meet with approval everywhere: The local tourism professionals and restaurateurs in Tui home country Lower Saxony feel that they are being treated unfairly because there are still no prospects for opening.

"We can no longer talk about disappointment," said the regional head of the Dehoga Association, Rainer Balke.

"For many it's a deep-seated frustration."

The lack of understanding is particularly great on the North Sea coast, where there is still hope for an Easter business.

The state government of Lower Saxony sees little chance of an Easter holiday in their own country due to the increasing number of new corona infections and more patients in intensive care units.
