Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The volleyball players from SSC Palmberg Schwerin have reached the semi-finals of the German championship.

With a clear 3-0 (25: 16.25: 13.25: 14) in the decisive third playoff quarter-final game against VfB Suhl, coach Felix Koslowski's team made the progress perfect on Sunday.

The cup winner had forced the playoff thanks to the 3-1 win on Saturday after the first game was lost 3-2 in Suhl last Wednesday.

The opponent in the round of the best four teams is Allianz MTV Stuttgart.

In the first round, Schwerin quickly gained a clear lead and thus laid the foundation for winning the set.

In the following sets, the Thuringians were initially able to stand up, but the SSC finally showed themselves to be superior in all respects and after an 8-0 series in the third round to 14: 5 in the meantime, there was no doubt that they would make it to the semi-finals.

The dates for the semi-final games have not yet been set.
